Sponsor

The Big Buck Contest (the "Contest") is sponsored by MoonGuide, PO Box 398, Granville, OH 43023 (the "Sponsor"). Sponsor is responsible for all aspects of the Contest. Participation constitutes the participant's full and unconditional agreement to these Official Rules and to Sponsor's decisions, which are final and binding in all matters related to the Contest.

Eligibility

The Contest is open to legal residents of the United States and Canada who are 12 years of age or older at the time of entry. Youth Big Buck Entrants must be under 18 years old at the time of harvest.

Entrants must be active MoonGuide App subscribers before the time of harvest to be eligible for the Grand Prize. Employees of MoonGuide, the sponsors listed below, their affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and suppliers, and the immediate family members or household members of each, are not eligible. The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state, provincial, and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited or restricted.

Contest Period

Entries will be accepted online beginning September 1, 2026, at 12:00 a.m. (ET) and ending February 28, 2027, at 11:59 p.m. (ET) (the "Entry Period"). All entries must be received within this timeframe.

How to Enter

Entrants must submit a photo of their harvest through the Rub section of the MoonGuide App within seven (7) days of harvest, including the date, time, method, and location of harvest. Entries must meet all requirements to be eligible. Multiple entries are allowed if permitted under state or provincial hunting laws. Fraudulent or incomplete entries may be disqualified at Sponsor's sole discretion.

Qualifying Submissions / Fair Chase Hunting

Entrants must be MoonGuide App subscribers before harvest. Submissions must include a clear photo of the harvested deer submitted through the Rub section within seven (7) days of harvest. All harvests must be taken by fair-chase methods. High-fence and preserve hunts are not eligible. All state, provincial, and federal hunting regulations must be followed.

Judging

Contest entries must be scored by an official Boone & Crockett (B&C) scorer. The entrant is solely responsible for the cost of official scoring. Winners will be determined by the highest gross score; ties will be broken by net score. Entrants must email an official score sheet to info@moonguide.com within ten (10) business days of scoring.

Grand Prize

One (1) guided whitetail hunt with Whitetail Heaven Outfitters in Kentucky for Fall 2027. Travel expenses, tags, licenses, and permits are not included and are the sole responsibility of the winner.

Secondary Grand Prize and Additional Secondary Prizes

To be eligible for Secondary Prizes, entrants must be subscribed to the MoonGuide App and entered in the Apex Outdoor Rewards contest for the 2026/27 season. All secondary prizes will be chosen at random by Apex Outdoor Rewards.

Secondary Grand Prize. One (1) guided whitetail hunt with Whitetail Heaven Outfitters in Kentucky for Fall 2027. Travel expenses, tags, licenses, and permits are not included and are the sole responsibility of the winner.

Prize values are approximate and may vary. Prizes are non-transferable and may not be substituted for cash, except at Sponsor's discretion. Winners are responsible for any federal, state, provincial, and local taxes or fees associated with prizes.

Winner Notification

Winners of the MoonGuide Big Buck Contest will be announced on the MoonGuide App and on MoonGuide's Facebook and Instagram pages. MoonGuide will attempt to notify winners by email or phone (if provided) within five (5) days of winner selection. If a winner cannot be contacted, is ineligible, or fails to claim a prize within fifteen (15) days, the prize may be forfeited and awarded to an alternate entrant. Secondary prize winners will be announced by Apex Outdoor Rewards.

Rights Granted by Entrants

By entering, you grant MoonGuide and its affiliates the right to use your name, likeness, image, and submitted entry for promotional purposes without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law.

Terms

MoonGuide reserves the right to cancel, terminate, or modify the Contest if fraud, technical issues, or other causes affect its integrity. Entries suspected of tampering or rule violations may be disqualified.

Limitation of Liability

By entering, you release and hold harmless MoonGuide, the Contest sponsors listed above, and their affiliates, partners, employees, and representatives from any liability related to participation, prize acceptance, or use or misuse of prizes.

Disputes

This Contest is governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Ohio. All disputes must be resolved individually, without class action, in a court of competent jurisdiction located in Ohio.
