Contest Rules
The 2022 MoonGuide Big Buck Contest Presented by Big & J, is a Member Only Contest!
To be eligible for the Big Buck Contest you must be a current subscriber to the Deer Hunter's MoonGuide App. For basic contest rules, please see below. For Full Rules click the button below.
Eligibility
Contest (the "Contest") is only open to participants who are legal residents of United States & Canada, and who are 12+ at the time of entry. Youth Big Buck Entrants must be under 18 years old at time of harvest (the “Entrant”). Employees of MoonGuide (the "Sponsor"), their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, suppliers and their immediate family members and/or those living in the same household of each are not eligible to participate in the Contest. The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited or restricted by law, rule, or regulation.
Time Frame
Entries will be accepted online starting on September 01, 2022, at 12:00 AM and ending Feb 28, 2023, at 11:59 PM (the “Entry Period”). All online entries must be received by Feb 28, 2023, 11:59 PM. All times are (GMT-05:00) Eastern Time (US & Canada). Entries submitted before or after the Entry Period will not be eligible. Sponsor’s computer is the official timekeeping device for the Contest.
How to Submit Video Entries
Contestants will have to provide either a downloadable link to their raw footage to MoonGuide (email the link to info@moonguide.com with subject line: Big Buck Contest Video Submission), via YouTube, Vimeo, Dropbox or submit footage on a hard drive - to be judged and to qualify for the prize.
How to Enter
The Contest must be entered by submitting an entry in the Rub Section of the MoonGuide App. within 48 hours of kill, with date, time, method and location of harvest. The entry must fulfill all Contest requirements, as specified, to be eligible to win a prize. Entries that are not complete or do not adhere to the rules or specifications may be disqualified at the sole discretion of MoonGuide. You may enter multiple bucks from different states and/or the same state if allowed by state game laws
and you must fill in the information requested. If you use fraudulent methods or otherwise attempt to circumvent the rules your submission may be removed from eligibility at the sole discretion of MoonGuide.
Qualifying Submissions/ Fair Chase Hunting
You must be a MoonGuide App
Subscriber to enter. To Enter: hunter must submit photo of deer via the Rub section of the MoonGuide App within 48 hours of kill, with date, time, method and location of harvest. All Entries must be taken by "fair chase" hunting methods. Absolutely NO preserve or high fence hunting and all state and federal hunting laws must be followed.
Judging
The Contest entries will be judged based on: Winner is judged by an official Boone & Crockett scorer LOCATE ONE HERE (it is the financial responsibility for each entrant to have their deer officially scored) winner for each category will be the highest gross score – any tie will go to highest net score. •Official score sheet must be emailed to MoonGuide info@moonguide.com within 10 business days of scoring. •Official score sheet must be emailed to MoonGuide (info@moonguide.com) within 10 business days of scoring.
